JONAS ZEITLER
Jonas Zeitler is a visual artist whose work moves between painting, collage and object based installation. His practice explores the intersection of table culture, emotional dimensions of food as well as playful absurdities of everyday life and collective memories — tracing moments of togetherness, longing, and everyday intimacy.
Using acrylic, oil and paper collage, he creates layered compositions that merge material and metaphor. Fragments of fabric, cut-out forms, and attached objects such as wood or ceramics extend his paintings beyond the flat surface, transforming them into textural experiences.
Humor and lightness play an essential role in his work. With a wink, he plays with proportion and perception. His paintings invite viewers into a world where the familiar turns strange and the everyday becomes extraordinary.
For him, painting is a form of escapism a place of retreat and curiosity, where both artist and viewer can momentarily slip out of the ordinary. Despite this playfulness, his works retain a deep sense of warmth and humanity, celebrating the joy of creation itself.
Jonas Zeitler studied design and has been drawing and painting since childhood. He lives and works in south Germany.
